Here we grow again! Onstream Pipeline Inspection Services is a provider of inline inspection services to pipeline operators in North America. Due to continued growth within the Team, Onstream is now accepting applications for the position of Sales Manager, in Calgary.

Accountable to the COO (Chief Operating Officer), the Sales Manager is responsible for leading the activities of Onstream’s Sales department. The Sales Manager ensures this department delivers on agreed to goals and objectives for growing the business; while following policies, procedures and regulations.

The Sales Manager is part of the Leadership Team collaborating to set strategic growth goals for the business while maintaining operational efficiency, quality, service and cost-effective management of resources.

Responsibilities Include:

Strategic & Operations Management

Working with the Senior Leadership Team, the Sales Manager participates in setting of the strategic direction and plans to develop and execute business growth priorities and strategy.

  • Establish goals and objectives for Onstream’s top line growth
  • Review financial and operating results to determine whether current pricing is meeting business goals and where departments stand relative to budget; identify trends related to high or low performance; identify and execute priorities for follow-up action
  • Plan, develop and implement strategies for generating revenues for Onstream in collaboration with the Senior Leadership Team
  • Ensure adherence to all quality standards

People Management and Development

  • Directly oversees the activities of the Sales Team
  • Ensures effective talent recruitment and retention
  • Oversees performance management to ensure that all personnel are performing to their full potential
  • Identifies areas for development through interaction with management and personnel; ensures the delivery of appropriate training to new and existing personnel
  • Oversees and ensures high safety standards at all times
  • Understands and implements all Government legislations
  • Coaches team members in identifying and managing talent to ensure personnel are continually growing in order to meet the long-term goals of Onstream
  • As part of the Leadership Team, leads succession planning including, but not limited to: approving job descriptions and the organizational chart
  • As part of the Leadership Team, approves and develops policies, procedures and standards (as required)


  • Lead the Sales Team to develop and implement sales strategies to increase sales and profits
  • Promote Onstream’s state of the art technology solutions and exceptional service to the industry
  • Maintain strong existing client relationships for retention and revenue maximization
  • Continually educate and train clients and the sales team on technical aspects of our offerings
  • Develop and deliver technical sales presentations in a professional and effective manner
  • Lead the inside sales team to provide exceptional communication with the client throughout all projects
  • Ensure clients and the sales team are aware of pertinent company activities, industry trends and government regulations


  • Attends quarterly Safety and Leadership Meetings
  • Other duties as assigned

Education & Experience Required

  • Degree or diploma in a related field
  • 8+ years related Sales experience (Inline Inspection or Pipeline Integrity preferred)
  • 3+ years experience in a leadership or management role

Skills & Competencies Required

  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including Excel and Word
  • Strong communication skills, including verbal, written and listening
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Demonstrated strong judgment and decision making abilities
  • Ability to plan and organize work with multiple demands and deadlines
