Position Overview & Responsibilities
The Inventory Control / Shipping Coordinator is responsible for all aspects of Onstream USA internal inventory management, international shipping/receiving, inspecting of goods and overseeing the tracking and movement of supplies/materials/equipment within the USA and international destinations.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Verify and maintain inventory stock levels of all parts and equipment (ensuring minimum inventory thresholds)
- Perform quality control inspections on incoming and outgoing goods and shipments
- Updating inventory databases (WASP and Excel) so they are current
- Purchasing of tools, equipment and supplies from outside vendors and other departments
- Sorting and allocating received parts and equipment to specific build kits
- Inspection and restocking of tool and equipment kits
- Leading inventory cycle counts
- Handle all calls related to inventory and shipments of parts/equipment
- Preparation and packaging of all shipments
- Verify and maintain records on incoming and outgoing shipments
- Verify information against invoices and purchase orders
- Loading / unloading of goods and materials
- Unpack and route goods to appropriate warehouse storage areas or departments
- Consistently work towards increasing product knowledge
- Liaison with customs broker for tools and equipment outside of USA
- Drop off / Pick up at vendors and shipment carriers
- Other duties as required
Education & Experience Required
- High School Diploma
- 2 + years of inventory control/management experience
- 2 + years of experience in a Shipping and receiving
- Ability to work with and learn proprietary software
- Knowledge of harmonized codes, and customs documents i.e. USMCA/Commercial
- Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Basic mechanical aptitude considered an asset
- Valid Class C Driver License
Skills & Competencies Required
- Ability to read, write and speak fluent English
- Strong social skills for communicating with coworkers and vendors
- Ability to multi-task with a strong attention to detail
- Ability to lift or carry loads up to 50lbs
- Forklift and or skid steer competency
- Strong time management skills
- Strong Computer Knowledge
- Professional appearance
- Ability to stand or sit at a workstation for extended periods of time
- Mechanical aptitude
